Consign Your Wedding Gown with L’Archive

  • L’Archive offers a professionally managed alternative to selling your wedding dress privately.

    Your gown is presented within Adelaide’s dedicated pre-loved bridal boutique, where brides can see it, appreciate its construction and try it on with experienced assistance.

    We manage the listing, enquiries, appointments and payment process. When your gown sells, you receive the agreed consignor return.

  • L’Archive considers:

    • Professionally cleaned pre-loved gowns

    • Ex-boutique and discontinued samples

    • Selected vintage wedding gowns

    • One-off pieces with strong design or craftsmanship

    We look for gowns that suit the L’Archive customer, are in saleable condition and can offer compelling value against their original retail price.

    We do not accept every submission. Our decision may consider the designer, style, age, size, condition, alterations, original retail price and current demand within the collection.

  • 1. Submit your gown

    Complete our online form below with the designer, style, size, original purchase price, alterations, condition and clear current photographs.

    2. We review it

    We assess whether the gown is right for the L’Archive collection and recommend a realistic resale price based on its condition, age, designer and current market demand.

    3. Approve and drop off

    If accepted, we provide the proposed price and consignment terms. Once agreed and signed, your gown can be delivered to the boutique.

    Please do not bring gowns into L’Archive before receiving approval.

    4. We present and sell it

    Your gown is prepared for the collection, listed where appropriate and made available for brides to try in-store. We manage customer enquiries, fittings and payment. If it sells, you receive your consignor return in accordance with your agreement.

  • Original retail price is useful context, but it does not determine current resale value.

    Resale pricing is influenced by:

    • Designer and style

    • Current market demand

    • Age and collection

    • Condition and cleaning

    • Alterations

    • Available sizing and measurements

    • Whether the gown is unworn, pre-loved or ex-sample

    • Comparable gowns currently available

    Our goal is to set a price that respects the gown while giving it a realistic opportunity to sell within the consignment period.

  • Our standard consignment term is four months.

    For standard consignments, L’Archive retains a 35% commission and the consignor receives 65%, calculated on the sale price excluding GST. The agreed listing price and terms are confirmed before the gown joins the collection.

    If you choose to withdraw an accepted gown before the end of its term, seven days’ notice and a early-withdrawal fee apply.

    Complete terms, including payment, care, insurance and collection arrangements, are provided in the consignment agreement.

  • Please have the following ready:

    • Designer and style name

    • Label size

    • Original retail or purchase price

    • Purchase date

    • Details of any alterations

    • Cleaning history

    • Known marks, wear or damage

    • Clear photographs of the front, back and details

    • Your preferred resale price, if known

    Accuracy matters. Alterations and imperfections do not automatically exclude a gown, but they must be disclosed.
